Harlequin mated pair sunning on the rocks

These mated pair of Harlequin ducks resting and sun bathing on the grey rocks of a cold glacial creek here in South Central Alaska. Just earlier were on a clear stream bank resting or maybe nesting near here but found no nest. These 2 were hard to capture on camera at first as they are so shy and quickly leave when disturbed by anything it seems.
