Harlequin mated pair on a clear stream

Disturbing a resting pair of male and female Harlequin ducks on a brush covered stream bank, they take to the water to avoid me. This stream flows into a glacial creek nearby here in South Central Alaska. Nice, quiet and brushy area looks like a fine place to nest. Spotted these 2 later at the glacial creek sunning on the rocks.
